- Dan Mountford is based in Brighton, England.
- He is a freelance photographer and graphic designer.
- He is most known for his multiple exposure photography. He describes them as "a visual journey through our minds by calm and tidy means which the reality of everyday life does not show"
- All of his multiple exposure images are created only by the use of a camera, no Photoshop.
- I find the fact that Dan Mountford only used a camera to create his images amazing. I like that the image are subtle and the viewer can find hidden things within the image.
- For my photography project I'm going to take inspiration from his work because I find it amazing and very open for me to experiment.
- Getting the following images from just the use of a camera must have been hard to create because the exposure wound have to be just right and the first image would have to have a white background. I have tried this in A-level and it was very trial and error.
Matt Wisniewski
- Matt Wisniewski was born in 1990 in the Philadelphia.
- He is based in New York.
- He is most known for his surreal photography.
- He blends fashion photography and nature photography and creates new interesting, surreal photography pieces.
- Matt Wisniewski's work and Dan Mountfords are very similar but Matt keeps more of the facial features most properly because its a fashion shot. His work is more easy to read whereas Dan Mountfords is more complicated to figure out the content of the two images.
- I really like the use of nature in fashion photography because I think it gives the series a unique look compared to other fashion photography.
- The ways that the nature image has been introduced into the fashion image is really interesting to look at and works really well. The two images look like they were made to fit into each other.
- For example, in the image below her neck is used as a stream of water. Her neck has replaced the real stream, which brings in nature to the fashion image.
