Theory to practical understanding

Working in the six different areas (photography, fashion, textile's, 3D, graphics and fine art) has really enhanced my understanding of art and design. I think the best example of me looking at different theory s and then applying them would be in 3D. Before the start of this course I hadn't done any 3D before and I believe learning how to use the equipment and how to do different techniques has made me more interested in the subject.

Random and structured repeats are the main theories behind surface pattern and I have explored both. I prefer structured because I like uniform and I like the way patterns look. I found doing a random repeat hard because they always seemed to end up structured.
