Shoot 2

In this shoot my main influence is Byron Jorjorian, Ron Bigelow and Daniel Sroka because I feel that there type of work fits well into my brief and will show nature in a way I haven't tried before. I want to use the magnifying glass and I hope using it again I can develop on some of the shots I got last shoot. I would like to try to get parts of the image in-focus but so it still looks abstract. I will mainly do this in a garden with a range of flowers. This will give me the chance to experiment with colour and maybe shape.
I hope after this shoot I will have a range of images which shows I have experimented with colour and a range of focus and in-focus shots.

Equipment needed:
Camera
Extra battery pack
Magnifying lens

Looking back at the shoot I'm not happy with the majority of the work I produced because most of the images are realistic and not very abstract. There are elements I like from each image so I might go back and re edit (mainly crop) the images. I am happy that I tried this type of the shoot because I know now that it doesn't fit with my project, however I have some ideas I want to try out on some of the in-focus shots.

When editing these images I adjusted the levels, curves and contrast to mainly enhance the colours but other than that I didn't change anything. I didn't want to crop the images because in the previous shoot I jumped ahead of myself and cropped the images, even though I believe the shoot works well with the circular shoots.

Overall I'm not as happy as I hoped I be but I will go back to this shoot and re-edit and crop.

This image is my favorite from this shoot because it shows colour and is abstract but also the viewer can still tell what it is. I like that the flower is blurry and that there is a range of tones which blend into one-another. I also like that the image is split in half with the green and yellow.
When editing this image I adjusted the levels, curves and the contrast to mainly enhance the colour.

This image I like but it doesn't fit with my project. This is the type of image that I was trying to get away from in this project. I like that the three flowers are in a line and are gradually becoming in focus.
When editing I changed the levels, curves and contrast.
My next step will be to go make to the original images I took and look though again to see if there elements of other images that I could edit.

The images above I produced after evaluating the images from this shoot. I went though the images again and found section of the images that I thought would work cropped. The colour is the main part of these images and I am really happy I went back to these images and cropped sections. This images I feel are more like the images I originally wanted to produce in the shoot.
I really like the colours in these images and I feel the images work well together. The blur in these images makes the colour blend into each-other.

In the next shoot I want to go back to the first shoot I did where I didn't just look at the beauty nature. This shoot was in the previous project where I played around with the shutter speed.
