Steffan Dam
- Steffan Dam is a Danish artist who mainly works with glass.
- He has done work involving glass wunderhammers (glass cabinet of curiosity).
- His wanderkammers usually contained: bottled marine creatures including jellyfish, fossils and egg specimens.
- He likes the idea of a “creative area where art meets science”
- I really like this way of displaying something and I think its a brilliant and unique way of making something that isn't associated with art, into art.
Biological Panel, blue.2009.
The thing I like most about this piece of work is that it’s
all organised and has clean cut edges. I think the simply white background
shows the specimens clearing and makes it uniform and pleasant to look at.

Maissa Toulet
- Maissa Toulet did a series of pieces all to do with the Cabinet of Curiosity.
- She is based in Paris and mainly uses glass to encase her Curiosities.
- She describes her pieces as "miniature museums".
- I think keeping the background plain shows of the objects more and doesn't distract from them.
- I prefer the work of Steffan Dam's work because I like that its organised and I don't feel that there is a noticeable organization to Maissa Toulet's work.
- I do like that the objects have a link or they look like they should be in the same collection.
