  • The use of bright colours creates a exciting and interesting illistration to look at. The colours complement each other and blend well together.
  • Amelie Hegardt mainly uses inks and water colour to create her illistration and this makes the colours flow into each other and creates interesting effects.

Issey Miyake

  • Issey Miyake was born 22 April 1938 and  is a Japanese fashion designer
  • He is known for his technology-driven clothing designs, exhibitions and fragrances.
  • I wanted to look at Issey Miyake's work becuase I was thinking of using paper to make some small dresses.
  • Paper can create many different textures and shapes and this is why I wanted to look at some textures used by different fashion designers.
  • I really like the depth the dress below creates because of the use of the layers.
  • When creating some of my own dresses I will incorporate the layers because it creates shadows, depth and shape.
  • The dress below is made up of many straight edges and this creates a layered, busy design.

Louise Goldin

  • Louise Goldin is based in London.
  • Louise studied at Central Saint Martins for seven years (Foundation, BA and MA).
  • She worked as the head designer at Tereza Santos in Brazil.
  • She mainly designs knitwear but she has done a series of paper dresses.
  • Her paper dresses consist of a lot of layers and this creates different shapes within the dress. The second image below I took inspiration from for one of my own paper dresses. I used a lot of layers and I believe it to be quit affective.
  • There are many forms paper can create and within my series of dresses I have tried to explore as many as I could.
  • The once that work the best, in my opinion are the dresses with many layers or many parts that make it up.
