- Raoul Dufy was a French painter.
- He developed a colourful style that became popular for ceramics and textiles designs.
- He was also a draftsman, print-maker, book illustrator, scenic designer, a designer of furniture, and a planner of public spaces.
- His style of work is very fluid and I like this about his paintings.
- His use of colour is very realistic but his way of painting is not. It's almost cartoon looking.
- When doing some fashion illustration I used water colour so I looked at some of Raoul Dufy's work to look at his brush strokes.
Peter Graham
St Paul De Vence- Peter Graham was born in Glasgow in 1959.
- In 2000 he was chosen for a Full Membership of The Royal Institute of Oil Paniters.
- R.O.I. His work can often be related to the Modern Scottish Schools.
- Most of the images that Peter Graham paints, that I have seen are very colourful and bright to look at but the colours seem to still look realistic and I like this about his painting style.
- His brush strokes are very bold which makes the image seem a bit abstract.
- I looked at Peter Graham's work because I was looking at artist colour pallets and I thought his would be interesting to look at.
